BOP HANDLING

The BOP Chain hoists are a pair of pneumatic hoists running on fixed beams underneath the drillfloor. They are 60 Tonnes in capacity (each) and therefore can lift some large BOPs. Their function is to lift the BOP (or any other subsea equipment) and transport it to new well positions or to storage position.
