Vertical riser management provides the advantages of lower space requirements, a lower center of gravity and a reduction in handling operations. The Vertical Riser Finger Fingerboard System allows clients to maximize the advantages of vertical riser management.
The Vertical Riser Fingerboard System offers a means to store, inspect and rapidly deliver risers to the drill floor. The Vertical Riser Fingerboard System is composed of Vertical Riser Fingerboards, Riser Inspection Tower(s), a Riser Elevator and a Riser Handling Crane. The Vertical Riser Fingerboards vertically restrain the risers above their center of gravity with a combination of riser flaps and riser latch bars. The Riser Inspection Towers provide a solid support during riser inspection and the ability to inspect and have access to both riser flanges prior to delivering them to the drill floor. The Riser Elevator safely and efficiently conveys risers to the drill floor. The Riser Handling Crane is designed for the vertical handling of risers from the Vertical Riser Fingerboards to the Riser Inspection Towers and then to the Riser Elevator.
